THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MULTIPURPOSE PROMOTIONAL PRODUCT.
Originally the humble steel barrier was developed for two main purposes. Firstly as a means to control large crowds at events and secondly to protect cafe patrons from the elements when dining alfresco. It was realised in no time at all, that the large space created inside the steel frame offered a great marketing opportunity for displaying branding messages. This turned a once unassuming product into a multipurpose product manufactured for both practicality and promotion.
THE EVOLUTION OF THE CAFE BARRIER
Cafe Breeze Barriers have been used as an effective wind barricade at cafes and events for decades. We have improved the design to offer you a cafe barrier that is far more cost effective. Here we explain the difference between the old style and our evolution of this multipurpose product.
THE PROBLEM WITH THE OLD STYLE CAFE BARRIERS
The conventional styled Cafe Barrier uses a printed skin which is held on using a track system screwed onto the frame. It is difficult to change these skins and tools are required to get the required tension. As a result, changing the branding message becomes difficult and expensive. In most cases you are required to send the entire steel frame back to the supplier or buy a whole new kit dumping the existing frame and skin. Due to this expense and hassle the skins on these are often left unchanged defeating the purpose of this excellent branding tool.
THE SOLUTION – THE CAFE BARRIER SOCK – NO TOOLS REQUIRED.
Instead of attaching the skin with a rail system we have created a double sided polyester sock. This sock simply slips over the cafe barrier frame and is held in place with zip ties along the bottom. Once tightened up the zip ties are not visible resulting in a drum tight finish.
Swapping the sock is a 3 minute job and no tools are required. This makes it very easy to keep your message fresh and relevant allowing you to consider having seasonal or even monthly skins.
STRONG AND DURABLE CAFE BARRIERS
The top section of cafe barriers is known to take the most wear and tear. This is caused by combination of the sun and the usage from customers. Unlike some ‘sock’ alternatives our cafe barrier sock has a durable PVC top piece. This extra reinforcing ensures a durable finish and the longevity of your cafe barrier.
The other component of our stronger cafe breeze barriers is the steel frame. Our frames come in a standard black powder coat finish. We can also do custom coloured frames for orders of 20 units or more. The feet are detachable with a thumb screw to secure them.
COST EFFECTIVE CAFE BARRIERS
The creation of a rail free breeze barrier skin a makes our cafe breeze barriers the most cost effective in the market. What’s more there is no need for expensive tools or the cost of transporting your barriers to have their branding message changed.
